The October 15 notice sets an October 22 prerelease webinar. It announces a future data release, not new income, housing or employment results.

The Census Bureau announced on October 15 that it plans to release the 2025 American Community Survey one-year estimates and one-year Supplemental Estimates on October 29, 2026. The notice says data will cover states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, congressional districts, metropolitan statistical areas and other eligible geographies. Publication thresholds are populations of at least 65,000 for the main one-year estimates and at least 20,000 for the Supplemental Estimates. Census plans a prerelease webinar for October 22 at 1 p.m. Eastern. It is intended to explain access to ACS data and resources, including how to compare places and statistics over time. The ACS covers topics including education, commuting, employment, housing costs, income, poverty and health insurance. The forthcoming estimates describe 2025, not a live measurement of October 2026 conditions. The agency says embargo access is scheduled from October 27 at 10 a.m. Eastern until October 29 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern, and all datasets will be publicly available by 10 a.m. Eastern on October 29. Embargo access is not permission to distribute data early. This is a release-schedule notice, not publication of the underlying estimates. Users should wait for the actual tables and methodology before stating new demographic or economic changes, and check which geographic threshold applies to their chosen product.
